We offer both preliminary and post-installation tests:

For preliminary tests, we carry out preliminary checks on a selection of anchors, starting from the most cost effective or as per client’s preference. Once one of these produces a satisfactory result, we will test 5no. of the same anchor to validate a consistent performance into the substrate.

Post-installation proof tests can be carried out to validate the quality of the installation prior to the cladding rails & panels being installed. Our testing is usually chargeable with a daily fee. According to BS8539:2012, testing should occur on 2.5% of anchors, unless there is a failure, if so the percentage increases to 5%. If there is a further failure, 100% of the anchors must be tested. Due to the uncertain nature of the quantity of tests & man hours required for each project, as it depends on the quality of installation which is outside of our control, we offer a daily rate instead of a fixed fee / build in cost.

The anchors / fixings for testing (if pull testing rather than proof testing)
Hire / maintenance costs of standard installation & testing equipment – i.e. M2000 tester, Concrete Radar, Impact Drivers, SDS drills etc.
Travel costs – i.e. fuel, reimbursements, parking etc.
Day rate for the engineer
Producing a comprehensive BS8539:2012 report

This does not include (non-exhaustive list):

Access equipment – i.e. scaffold
Opening up works (removal / disposal of cladding, etc, to access the substrate / anchors)
Repair of substrate / existing cladding after testing
