Case Study: RNLI Sennen Cove Lifeboat Station, Cornwall

Certifix Ltd |

Overview

Certifix were given the task of finding a robust fixing solution to replace the existing stainless steel roof that had peeled away in the high winds, due to the extreme coastal environment causing rapid bi-metallic corrosion. The client was obviously determined to avoid any further risk of corrosion. Certifix partnered with Forgeway to develop a two part hybrid mechanical and adhesive fix suitable for the saline environment, conducting on-site pull out tests to verify the fixings would stand up to the extreme coastal winds.
