These Stress Plates are designed for use with Heavy Duty Screws, Tek screws and Masonry anchors. Stress plates are used when fixing insulation and single ply materials to help distribute load and prevent the material being fastened from pulling over the head of the fastener. Insulation plates are also used when mechanically attaching rigid form insulation to roof decks. The design of the insulation plate allows it to flex during installation if a fastener is overdriven preventing damage to the insulation board. Oval stress plates; sometimes called lap plates, are used when mechanically attaching single ply material in the area of the lap or seam. For your info, our standard ID2-70/ID4-70 70mm insulation discs are available in either A2 or A4 stainless and will work with the following fixings: • CIS4-4.8 A4 stainless insulation screw (up to 300mm) – for SFS through gypsum board • CFRP-7K-5.5 A2 stainless insulation screw (up to 282mm) – for SFS through fibre cement / gypsum board / directly to fibre cement • CFTSC2-6.0 A2 stainless insulation screw (up to 300mm) – for direct fix to fibre cement only • HCMS4-6.3 A4 stainless masonry screw (up to 340mm) – for direct fix to concrete & masonry • CCMS2-7.5 A2 stainless masonry screw (up to 212mm) – for direct fix to concrete & masonry
