Standing Seam Clips

Standing seam clips are crucial, concealed anchoring components used to securely fasten metal roofing panels to a building's structure while maintaining a weathertight system and a streamlined appearance. These specialised anchors are essential for accommodating the natural thermal expansion and contraction of metal panels, ensuring the roof's long-term integrity. The clips are broadly categorized into fixed clips, which secure the panels in a set position (typically at the ends of the roof), and sliding (or floating) clips, which incorporate a mechanism to allow longitudinal movement. Floating clips, often a two-piece design, are particularly effective for managing significant thermal movement. Made from durable materials like galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminium, or copper, and sometimes featuring stand-offs for ventilation, standing seam clips distribute weight and prevent panel damage, offering a superior alternative to exposed fasteners.
