Our approved partners utilise state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to deliver exceptional finishes that meet or exceed industry standards.

Why Choose Certifix Powder Coating?

  • Durability and Longevity: The powder coatings are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and UV exposure, ensuring long-lasting performance and protection. All powders used are Qualicoat Approved and all our Syntha Pulvin powders carry BBA certification.
  • Aesthetics: Choose from a wide range of colours and finishes to create a stunning visual impact.
  • Cost-Effective: Powder coating offers a cost-effective solution for achieving a high-quality finish without compromising on durability.
  • Quality Assurance: Our partners are skilled technicians who adhere to strict quality control standards, ensuring consistent and reliable, reproducible results meeting the requirements of BS 12206-1 and Qualicoat Seaside.
  • Less Environmental Impact: Using the most advanced environmentally friendly pre-treatment chemicals on the market, the state-of-the-art process is free from traditional hazardous heavy metals such as nickel and chromium. A sophisticated process is completely free of phosphates meaning there is no danger in case of accidental discharge of phosphates into inland and costal waters. The process operates at an ambient temperature, meaning that bath heating is usually not required at process temperatures ranging between 25-30ºC. Consequently, a substantial reduction in energy usage has been attained.

The Powder Coating Process

  1. Preparation: A 10 stage pre-treatment process, including demineralised water and the ability to offer both chrome and chrome free pre-treatment. The pre-treatment plant offers a pristine finish to aluminium alloy extrusion sheet or preformed sections in readiness for the powder application.
  2. Electrostatic Application: Powder is applied to the surface using advanced, automatic and manual, electrostatic spray equipment, ensuring even coverage. Powder is mixed with compressed air and fed through a spray gun where the powder particles are electrically charged. This charge causes the powder particles to be attracted to, and cling to, the earthed work piece.
  3. Curing: The final stage of the coating process is to thermally cure the coating under closely controlled conditions. This curing ensures the adhesion between the paint and the underlying metal.
