We offer both preliminary and post-installation tests: For preliminary tests, we carry out preliminary checks on a selection of anchors, starting from the most cost effective or as per client’s preference. Once one of these produces a satisfactory result, we will test 5no. of the same anchor to validate a consistent performance into the substrate. Post-installation proof tests can be carried out to validate the quality of the installation prior to the cladding rails & panels being installed. Our testing is usually chargeable with a daily fee. According to BS8539:2012, testing should occur on 2.5% of anchors, unless there is a failure, if so the percentage increases to 5%. If there is a further failure, 100% of the anchors must be tested. Due to the uncertain nature of the quantity of tests & man hours required for each project, as it depends on the quality of installation which is outside of our control, we offer a daily rate instead of a fixed fee / build in cost.
